Filière de traitement des eaux usées, composée le plus souvent de trois bassins en série, peu profonds, qui comportent une zone aérobie dominante dont la profondeur varie en fonction notamment de la charge organique reçue. Le premier est facultatif et les suivants sont souvent appelés lagunes de maturation.
