frais de publication
Definition
-
Fees charged by the publisher to the author (or their institution) to publish a scientific journal article in immediate open access. Contribution paid by an author or their institution to finance the publication of an article which is then freely available to readers. These fees are sometimes charged to authors to make a work available in open access in an open access journal or a hybrid journal. Publication fees applied to academic research are generally expensive, which limits open access circulation among less affluent institutions, academics, and students. The APC-based open access model is part of the broader ethical debate on open access, among other debates.
