Document formalisé, établi au démarrage d'un projet de recherche, et qui décrit la façon dont les données produites seront obtenues, documentées, utilisées, gérées et disséminées, pendant la phase de recherche et une fois le projet terminé. Le plan de gestion des données prend en compte toutes les étapes du cycle de vie des données et doit être mis à jour tout au long du projet de recherche.
