DEFINITION

Modification de certains tissus (peau et muscles en particulier) à la suite d’une intervention chirurgicale, d’une radiothérapie ou sous l'influence d'autres facteurs comme un virus ou l'alcool dans le cas de la fibrose du foie. Une fibrose se caractérise par un durcissement des tissus (sclérose) et une perte d’élasticité.
